Academy for Eyecare Excellence
As part of our commitment to provide exceptional education and support to Eyecare Professionals, CIBA VISION® recently launched The Academy for Eyecare Excellence™.
Part of a global initiative, the Academy has been developed to help UK Eyecare Professionals stay current with the latest clinical information on contact lenses and lens care, manage their practices as businesses, communicate effectively with patients and prescribe vision correction solutions that best meet patients’ lifestyle and eye health needs.
Four Academy sub-sections have been developed to maximise CIBA VISION’s support of Eyecare Professionals, helping them achieve success in both their clinical and business goals. These are:
- Professional Academy  - offering a range of clinical and CET articles and events, including the upcoming Specialist Club meeting
- Business Academy – providing practitioners with the business knowledge and tools to help grow a profitable business in a competitive market
- Support Staff Academy – in recognition of the important role front staff can play in growing an optical practice a range of training resources are available to help get the most from your staff
- Student Academy – to help current student and pre-reg optometrists successfully make the transition to registered practitioners
The UK Academy is led by a Faculty comprising the country’s most renowned Eyecare Professionals. The group will oversee every aspect of the Academy, to ensure the highest quality of education and an offering that truly meets the needs of Eyecare Professionals.
More details of what the academy can offer you can be found at www.cibavisionacademy.co.uk
In addition to the upcoming Specialist Club meeting CIBA VISION are also running regular Management and Business Academy (MBA) meetings. The MBA is a unique and in depth business education programme covering a range of topics including better understanding the financial aspects of optical practice, building patient loyalty, increasing revenue per patient, and marketing your practice. Participation in the MBA programme also gives practitioners the chance to participate in an in depth benchmarking exercise to compare performance across a range of areas to your peers and receive a confidential practice profile report to identify areas of potential improvement.
