A Specialist Club Meeting not to Miss!
The next meeting of the popular Specialist Club will be on Tuesday 7th October at Nunsmere Hall Hotel, Northwich, CW8 2ES (west of Manchester) (www.nunsmere.co.uk).
The Specialist Club was created in 2002 for practitioners who had a special interest in contact lenses, including those wanting to meet the needs of all their patients as well as just the routine cases. Â With over 1000 members, the Specialist Club is a unique forum allowing a broad cross-section of the optical community to meet both face-to-face and online.
The October meeting will cover a spectrum of clinical topics featuring the following presenters:
- Dr. Philip Morgan, director of Eurolens Research and senior lecturer will be speaking on Contact Lens Care Systems – are they a friend or foe?
- Dr. Christine Purslow and Dr. Shehzad Naroo will discuss the latest research topics that are being explored by PhD students and consider how these will influence clinical practice
- Mr. Arif Karim will be hosting a session on patient case studies to include a Q&A with the audience
- Dr. Tim Giles, CIBA VISION’s Global Professional Affairs Director, will be exclusively presenting the latest breakthrough technology in the area of presbyopic contact lens correction
- Carmen Lester is a member of the Institute of Customer Services and a highly experienced coach in customer service. Carmen will discuss how to lead effective teams to achieve business objectives.
As the Global Patron Foundation Sponsor of Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) , for each delegate that attends this Specialist Club meeting CIBA VISION will be making a £10 donation to OGS. OGS supports programmes that not only offer eye exams and glasses in countries with little or no access to them, but that establish the infrastructure and train the local human resources required for sustainable, quality vision care.
