Parameter expansion for AIR OPTIX^® for ASTIGMATISM

We are delighted to announce that a third cylinder power has now been added to the parameter range of our silicone hydogel toric, AIR OPTIX for ASTIGMATISM. The -1.75 cylinder power is available from 1st May and will be available in 10 degree steps around the clock in spherical powers from plano to -6.00D.

This will enable practitioners to offer even more of their astigmatic patients the benefits of the AIR OPTIX® family of lenses. With a Dk/t of 108, the lotrafilcon B material of the AIR OPTIX for ASTIGMATISM lens is the most breathable soft toric lens available, reducing signs and symptoms of hypoxia for your patients. The biocompatible plasma treated surface resists deposits and improves wettability for improved comfort.

AIR OPTIX for ASTIGMATISM features a break through design, Precision Balance 8│4, which means that the thickest points of the lens are at the 8 and 4 o’clock positions. This minimises interaction with the lower lid for excellent comfort and maximises oxygen transmission at 6 o’clock. This break through design has achieved a 95% first fit success, meaning less chair time and happier patients.
